Easiest Pita Wrap Ever

The most customizable recipe, ever. You can literally put anything on pita bread and it will become your new favorite lunch. Even when we have no food in the house, I make sure to always have pita, cucumber, and tomatoes so that I can make this lunch. I love to add more ingredients when we have them, but even without the extras its still flavorful and filling. This recipe is a must-have for every person that has to go to school or work because it is super easy to make the night before and will keep you full throughout the day! Literally the perfect lunch.

It’s hard to find a recipe that is:
  • Super easy
  • Uses few ingredients
  • Cheap
  • Healthy
  • Customizable
  • Perfect for lunches
These are my favorite ingredients:
(Especially the kalamata olives)

Makes 1 Pita Wrap
Ingredients
  • Pita Bread
  • Cucumber
  • Tomato
  • Hummus
  • Optional: Falafel, Red Onion, Kalamata Olives, Chicken, Feta, Greens, Parsley

Directions

Cut the cucumber and tomato into small cubes and any other vegetable or meat you choose to add. If you are eating this right away, I recommend heating the pita in the microwave for a few seconds until it gets warm - but if you are making this for later skip this step. Once the pita is heated, add the hummus - I recommend spreading the hummus around the entire pita bread instead of just the bottom so that you get some in every bite. Top the wraps with desired ingredients.

Notes

Although a variety of ingredients are nice, most of the time I don’t always have these ingredients at my disposal. So my favorite way to eat this is with tomato, cucumber, and hummus if I want an even quicker and cheaper meal!
I also find it hard to wrap the pita bread, so I usually eat these like a taco so that the bread doesn't break. Just make sure to have a fork on hand in case the ingredients fall out!
